Getting Started

The Worldnews Theme is excellent for news, magazine, publishing and review sites.
Worldnews theme comes with unmatched flexibility. Its strong points are elegant design, unique demos, integrated translations, intelligent ads system, and no coding skills necessary.
With the “one click demo” installer it was remarkably easy to start building our test website.

Installation

To install the Worldnews theme. You need the latest version of WordPress. Here is the download URL. Once you downloaded and set it up, You are ready to go.
You can install this theme in two ways:

1. Automatic Installation (Recommended)

Step 1. Download ZIP package from Themeforest and unzip it.

Step 2. In unzipped folder you will find a folder named "Worldnews WP Theme" and 1 archives: "worldnews.zip" file

Step 3. In your WordPress Dashboard navigate to Appearance > Themes.

Step 4. Click on Add New, then clicking on Upload Theme and browse the Worldnews.zip file, finally click Install Now.

Step 5. Wait a while untill the screenshot below appears, on this form clicking on  Activate link  to active Worldnews Theme. Theme has been installed and actived.

 

2. Manual Installation.

Step 1. Download ZIP package file from Themeforest and unzip it.

Step 2. In unzipped folder you will find a folder named "Worldnews WP Theme" and archive in it: "worldnews.zip" file. Unzip "worldnews.zip" one more time.

Step 3. Simply upload the unzipped "worldnews" folder to /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server via FTP.

Step 4. Login to your Dashboard, go to Appearance/Themes menu and active Appearance theme

3. Install Needed Plugins:

Worldnews theme required and recommended the following plugins:

After install Worldnews theme you will be noticed to install required plugins, just follow the instruction you will get all set.

The installation process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient. All installations have been completed. Scolling down and click on the link "Return to Required Plugins Inslaller" to activate those installed plugins.

Return to the Dashboard after all plugins have been activated.

All needed installation have done. Follow next steps if you want to install sample data like our demo website.

4. Importing Sample Data.

If you're using the theme to build a new website which doesn't have content yet, I strongly recommend you to use the demo content files. This theme includes xml data files which will allow you to upload the demo content to your website. The content is the same as in the Live Demo Preview.

To import sample data. On WordPress Dashboard you select Theme Option -> Import Demo Content

Continuous Click Import Now or Import Without Media button

On Popup lightbox select OK to start then waiting a moment while import sample data

All done! Have Fun -> Import Sample Data is Success!

Theme Options used to setting general attribute for your website

Worldnews Elements

Worldnews theme have many custom elements that support you create visual template pages.

Use SV Logo element to upload logo image for your site.

(By default we use logo image in theme option if you do not select different image.)

SV Menu element built for you to show main menu by select menu to display with two styles one in white color and one in main color background. Add class “white-nav” or “color-nav” in row over this element to set style for this.

There are three style for Search box element.
- Default: Home 1, Home 2.
- No border: Home 3, Home 4.
- Extra: Home 5.

4. SV Post Box

SV Post Box used to show posts with image, title and description by multiple format style.

Theme features

Worldnews used post type "Header and Footer" to manager header/footer pages. You can create Header & Footer similar create new pages in WordPress. So you can create as many pages header&footer

After create new header/footer page success, you can choose it as the header/footer of the pages at meta data setting

2. Worldnews Mega Menu

Worldnews used post type "Mega Item" to manager Mega Menu. You can create Mega Menu similar create new pages in WordPress. So you can easy create a Mega Menu by multiple format style

Step 1: Create new wordpress page mega menu similar add new popular page
